Thigh High Boots, Friend or Foe?

31 May

Not straying too far from my previous post, I wanted to touch upon the topic of thigh high boots.

They were so popular this winter and I assume that is what translated into the thigh high sock look.

But where did this style come from? Am I the only one that correlates thigh high boots with Julia Roberts’ portrayal of a hooker in Pretty Woman?

I’m not saying some women can’t pull them off, but I wonder, if you own a pair of boots that go way past your knee, with a heel of at least 3 inches, and fabric that is so shiny it’s almost blinding, when exactly does your job start, 10 in the morning or 10 at night?

I like to go for the classier look, and it seems that no matter how conservative the rest of your outfit may be, the shoes will overshadow any ensemble and add a hint of trashiness to it.

However, be your own person. If you like the look, then go for it, any outfit combined with the right amount of confidence can make for a beautiful style.

Happy Shopping!

xoxo
